2011 - The Garden State Central Model Railroad Club has left our headquarters of 35 years in Asbury Park due to the sale of the building. We are looking to relocate to a home where a new museum quality display can be built and opened for the general public on select days. It will just be the second move in the 46 year history of the club which was founded in 1963 in Long Branch, N.J.

Park your car in the train station for hassle free parking. If you show your Northlandz tickets at the train ride, kids will go free for each adult ticket you show them. For an extra $30.00 you can ride in the locomotive cab.
After the train ride you can go shopping through the town of New Hope one block away.

Gemstone Panning is a great activity for all ages. Participants may find up to 11 ounces of gemstones in a single bag which may include amethyst, rubies, rose quartz, emeralds, crystals, and an arrowhead. All gems are of high quality and may be suitable for cutting, polishing, and mounting. With every mine train ticker you will receive one bag of mining ore from the Ole' Susquehanna Mine.

Your Journey After a Steam Train ride along the Delaware and a short bus ride through rolling farmlands, you will arrive at Villa Milagro Vineyards (www.VillaMilagroVineyards.com) . Come play the game where getting lost is half the fun! To buy tickets visit the ticket office and purchase a steam train ride and choose the "Corn Maze" add on. Take the train to the maze where you can have a nice calm picnic lunch in our shaded picnic grove, visit the Susquehanna Mining Company ( for an additional fee) and play the corn maze game. You goal is to make it through each maze and finding each of the 12 check points! Also available for your families enjoyment is one of a kind 30 foot bouncy pumpkin.

"School of the Soldier" Civil War Encampment
May 14 & 15, 2011
Our "School of the Solder" encampment is an educational program both for the re-enactors and spectators. We will depict a Civil War training camp circa 1861 responding to President Lincoln's call for troops after the bombing of Ft. Sumter. This year's event will feature a Marching Brass Band (on Saturday), recruiting scenarios, soldiers training in the field, a Confederate camp, artillery demonstrations, a Christian mass service (Sunday) and Civil War sutlers (merchants). The encampment takes place on May 14-15 with camps opening at 10:00 AM on both days!
