If you are metal detecting in New Jersey, you may now be breaking the law! The state legislature recently passed A1930 and I seriously suggest you read it carefully. Start contacting your local towns and find the name of the person authorized to grant or deny permission to detect. First time penalties start at $750 and could include confiscation of equipment and vehicles used!
